185 Clinton Avenue

Brooklyn, NY

Located in the fabled World-War-II-era Clinton Hill Coops, this neglected apartment was fully renovated to realize its potential as a home for a young family. The renovation included a full replacement of the kitchen and bath, with new fixtures and finishes. The kitchen aesthetic is calmed with custom cabinetry panels that conceal the appliances and pale blue pennyround tiles lining the floor and walls. The small bathroom is visually expanded with vertical subway tile, matching white cabinetry and porcelain fixtures, and a nero marquina natural stone floor. The oversized living room was subdivided to create a nursery bedroom with a closet and clerestory window. All spaces feature curated furnishings and new lighting fixtures, including a Lindsay Adelman chandelier above the dining table.
